Young Canada Works (YCW) is a short-term student employment program funded by the Government of Canada. The program allows Ontario employers to hire students between the ages of 16 and 30 (Canadian citizens, permanent residents or accepted refugees).
Eligible employers may benefit from a subsidy of up to 100% to cover the salary expenses while tapping into a large pool of talented, dynamic, versatile, bilingual and computer-literate young candidates.
You may be eligible if you are a private company, a public or non-profit organization, a cooperative or a municipality. Your organization must be financially stable and sound, as well as operating in the second official language of the student being employed, or both.
